This week we’ve encouraged you to set a goal/healthy habit for 5 areas of your life:
- How you Eat
- How you Move
- How you Recover
- How you Think
- How you Connect
You now have 5 healthy habits you can implement and focus on for the next 90 days!
Your action items:
- Pick a habit in each of those areas
- Commit to focusing on it for 90 days
- Determine how to measure each habit
- Track your behavior, monitor, and evaluate
If a habit sticks, you shouldn’t need to track it as closely! At any given time, I recommend only tracking 2-5 habits you are trying to improve. Any more than that and you lose focus.
Now, imagine you repeat this process for a whole year. Four times a year you implement new habits. Imagine the progress you can see in your overall health and happiness if even a few of those habits stick with you! It’s a tried and true recipe for success, so give it a shot!
Here are the keys to succeeding:
- Choose habits that matter to you. If it’s not truly important, you won’t stick with it.
- Track it and measure progress. Remember; “what you measure, you improve.”
- Be accountable to someone else. Fill them in on what you’re doing and have regular discussions about your habits.
